BOLDLY GIVING

Supporting our present with faithful stewardship

Our goal is to raise $1.75 million in gifts and pledges for 2026, as well as broaden support beyond reliance on a limited number of large gifts.

Through faithful stewardship, we ensure CHS thrives in ministry, worship, and service. Annual giving remains the priority when it comes to contributions, as it reflects our trust in God’s provision and our commitment to his work in the community. Every gift sustains the mission of the church, supporting outreach, faith formation, and sacred worship, allowing us to grow together in Christ.

Boldly Giving: Keeping Ministry in Motion

We ask you to begin with Boldly Giving by solidifying—and increasing—your annual stewardship pledge toward the annual operating budget. If you have one gift to give, you should prioritize your annual stewardship gift. An important goal of MSI is to reduce our reliance on a small group of households who contribute most of our funding, which is not a sustainable model for the long term. That’s why we’re asking everyone who loves this parish to consider pledging for the first time, or increasing their pledge this year. Know that your gift directly supports our clergy and staff, allowing them to provide the unparalleled pastoral, music, and ministry support for which we all are so grateful.

Why We Give

Words from your parish family about why they support CHS through their annual stewardship pledge
"CHS has been a special place in our family for over 60 years and has been foundational in my Christian upbringing. It is important to us to support the church’s mission to provide the same opportunities for future generations."
Courtney & Cooper Britt
"Could I ever have foreseen the abiding constancy of the church community for our family when we came to CHS in 1993? Or imagined that we would experience the joy of our granddaughter’s Holy Spirit baptism in 2023? I am every bit as astonished as I am grateful."
Jill Soderberg
"The Church of the Holy Spirit holds a deeply profound place in our family’s spiritual journey, serving as a sanctuary where we find peace and serenity during a busy week. Its welcoming embrace and vibrant community have woven threads of faith, love, and unity into the tapestry of our lives, nurturing our connections with both God and fellow congregants. Through shared worship, fellowship, and acts of service, the Church of the Holy Spirit empowers us to live out our beliefs, embodying the values that define and strengthen our family bond."
The Petersen Family
"Our lives have been wonderfully enriched through all of the ministries in which we have been engaged. The welcoming nature of the clergy and lay ministry leaders inspires people of all ages to become involved. Invite, Nurture, & Serve truly resonates at the Church of the Holy Spirit."
Andy & Julie McCormack
"In a world that feels increasingly busy, CHS is a place where we can find quiet, be together as a family, and reflect on the things that are truly important. It is a gift to know that, no matter what, CHS is there for us, and for so many others, week after week."
The Helms Family
"I continue to be blessed with fantastic clergy, terrific staff, and a great community of worshipers, not to mention our greatest choir, our beautiful building, and our gorgeous nave. I continue to pledge to sustain the church I have loved for so many years, as we all continue growing in faith and spirituality and in thankfulness to the glory of our God."
Bob Hernandez
"Baptisms, Confirmations, Worship, Fellowship, Youth Group work trips, Mission Possible Bookstore, Young Pups, Funerals and Weddings!!! These are some of the many ways we have been blessed being connected at the Church of the Holy Spirit! Have the courage to get connected!"
Skip & Laura Martin
"When we envision a future for CHS, we see a thriving community and place that strongly celebrates our beautiful, ancient traditions while dynamically responding to change and to the great needs that surround us."
The Bilger Family
"Our family has viewed CHS as our spiritual home for more than thirty years. CHS creates an inviting environment in which to worship and to pray. Our children have been baptized and confirmed here, and both are graduates of St. Greg’s choir and the acolyte program. We hope that families will continue to be drawn to CHS and enjoy all the benefits that our family has experienced."
Pam & Tim Szerlong
"The Church of the Holy Spirit has been a spiritual constant for us! We exchanged our marriage vows here, raised our children here, worshiped with friends and family, and buried loved ones. This church gives us endless chances to grow, study, serve, be nurtured, connect with others, learn about ourselves and God, and develop our personal relationships with God. It’s one of the most important places in our lives!"
